Salima Jiwani

My name is Salima Jiwani and I am the owner of AudioSense Hearing & Balance; a family owned boutique audiology clinic. I fully endorse Dianne's vision for a clean and energy-efficient economy to protect our future!

I am the Director/Owner and Lead Audiologist at AudioSense Hearing & Balance (www.audiosense.ca), an audiology clinic in Yorkville, Toronto. I am also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto, and Past-President of the Canadian Academy of Audiology. At AudioSense, I work with children and adults of all ages, and provide my patients with industry-leading audiological care for hearing, balance, and post-concussion services by leveraging my clinical, research and industry experience. I earned my Ph.D. in 2015 in Auditory Neurophysiology and Neurosciences at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Medical Sciences and the Cochlear Implant Lab at The Hospital for Sick Children, after completing a Master of Science in Audiology degree at Dalhousie University. Outside of work hours, I continue to be engaged in clinical research and advocacy initiatives to elevate the profession of audiology, give audiologists a voice and promote optimal and evidenced-based audiological care for patients.
